Conveyor Project No: LA1141 This Pallet Conveyor is design to transfer Boxed Tobacco Units. The overall length of the conveyor is circa 2400mm.  The effective roller width of 830mm running horizontally with a roller height of 460mm. Powered by a Sew Eurodrive motor with a speed of 42rpm. The motor running speed achieves 10 metres per minute and can handle a starting load and full load of 150kg. The conveyors frame work is finished RAL 1015 Ivory. Additional accessories required by the client to complete the system are Drop and Rotary Tables which have also been designed and built by LAC Conveyors.

This heavy duty Powered Pallet Conveyor has been designed and manufactured to transport our clients 1200 x 1000 pallets weighing 600kgs into and out of a robot cell. There have been five of these conveyor sections supplied for this project that required a special over slung drive mounting position to allow access for the robot tooling to place and palletise pallets onto the conveyor. A further requirement was for the conveyors to have a 150mm top of roller height to enable the pallets to be loaded onto the conveyor by a Hand Pallet Truck.

The conveyors have 80mm diameter duplex sprocket rollers set at 150.5mm pitch and are fitted  into a mild steel painted profile.

LAC Conveyors has recently won a £100k project to supply belt conveyors to one of the country’s major 1st tier automotive suppliers.  Consisting of nearly 30 mild steel Tracker belt conveyors, the application was created to link robotic welding cells to operator load/unload stations.  The belt conveyors were specially designed to handle the newly welded sections with cut resistant belt and accommodating special light curtain sensors.  All the belt conveyors were tailor made to fit within the tight constrains of each of the cells with robot placement and ergonomic operator lift off crucial to the project success.  As with all conveyor projects, however small or large, LAC Conveyors’ engineers and designers carefully assessed each conveyor requirement.  Once this was completed, detailed drawings were produced for approval by the customer prior to manufacture.  This ensured no nasty surprises and the success of the project with the simple first time fitment on installation....

LAC Conveyors Project Number - LA1141

This medium duty Powered Roller Conveyor System was designed to transport 1112 x 700mm x 710 high cases, each weighing 150kgs form two manual loading input lines and automatically transfer these cases to two compression stations. Here leaf product was feed into the cases and automatically compressed into the cases, check weighed and fed out and merged into a single out feed powered roller conveyor via the introduction of two automatic 90 Degree Powered Turntables. The semi filled cases where then transferred to a final filling, compression and check weighing station before being Automatically Strapped and fed out onto a single gravity roller conveyor for manual removal.

LAC Conveyors undertook the designed manufacture and build of the Powered Roller Conveyor System, Turntables and special purpose Pneumatic Lifting Sections to support the load whilst integrating the customers free issue load cells and monitoring equipment to the Conveyor System.

Conveyor Project No: LA1111.  This Belt Conveyor is design to transfer lightweight plastic components. The conveyors overall length is circa 2500mm.  The belt type is PVC green 2 ply smooth sitting on steel skids with an effective width of 1000mm running horizontally with a belt height of 950mm. Powered by a Helical worm geared motor with a speed of 140 rpm. The motor running speed achieves 40 metres per minute and can handle a starting load and full load of 25kg. The conveyors frame work is finished RAL 5005 Blue. Additional accessories required by the client, is a Chain Driven Transfer plate.

This week has seen the completion of a new S bend flush top modular belt conveyor. The conveyor has been designed by our new designer engineer Alex, and has been manufactured with help from our new welder Ash, and will be installed at the weekend. Thanks to all the new staff pulling together on this one!

Since the previous blog update on the doughnut conveyors we have started production of the first small conveyor. The conveyor will soon be ready to install in the factory following the last few production steps.

Having just left production this motorised conveyor is intended to replace an existing gravity conveyor that was slowing down production in a food production facility. As can be seen from the photos it's a stainless steel belt conveyor that protrudes through the ceiling and onto the floor above and we are confident will boost production within the facility.
