News about conveyor systems and installations by LAC Conveyors
By LAC Blogger on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 12:09 PM
LAC Conveyor Systems recently successfully installed a stainless steel belt conveyor pack separator for a high profile healthy snacks food company. The conveyor moves product from a high care to a low care area. Two belts are mounted on one conveyor frame with separate tensioning systems for the belts. The belts are made from food grade, FDA approved, fully washable materials. The motor and gearbox that drive the belt are dust tight and waterproof. At the point of product off load rigidised stainless steel chutes have been used to reduce friction allowing for a smoother transition between conveyors. Operators can easily clean the equipment, therefore ensuring that the high cleanliness required in foods areas can be maintained.

At L.A.C. Conveyor Systems, we manufacture an extensive range of pallet conveyors. Our ten years experience in building pallet conveyors has allowed us to develop our conveyors, which have been tested and standardised and are capable of configuring complex handling solutions for a wide range of applications and industries. These include stainless steel (usually for the food industry), mild steel and plastic. We take our reputation very seriously and make ever effort to ensure our systems are delivered on time, and without issue. Most systems will be fully set up within a test area at our facility for full pre-delivery F.A.T tests and quality checks....

L.A.C. Conveyor Systems usually uses mild steel to manufacture conveyors for the non-food industries. The picture shows a shuttle/trolley conveyor, which transfers plates to a machine for fabrication. The shuttle cars move along rails which are meter in width and twelve meters in length. The cars are accurately designed, so that the unloading robot can pick up the plate.

Our engineers work hard to ensure that all conveyors are built bespoke to the exact requirement of the customer.

Customers from the food industry require hygienic conveyors which comply with health and safety regulations. This is especially important for conveyors which handle raw meat. The 3D drawing above shows a conveyor which conveys raw pork mince. The far end of the conveyor has a feature which allows the belt to be made slack, allowing it to be cleaned.  At L.A.C., we work with our customers to understand their requirements and build bespoke conveyor to satisfy their needs.

Bunches.co.uk, based in Nottinghamshire, remains a family owned business.
