Official Football Fundraising Champions! In our recent participation in the Business Fives charity football event, we not only topped the fundraising charts, bringing in £2,815 in donations, but also added £150 to the overall total by winning the Europa League! This success means we have qualified for the National Finals, which will take place in Manchester on Tuesday, 24th October. The L-A-C team is eager to represent Nottingham and compete against champions from other cities as the Business Fives Summer action continues.

Our recent success in Business Fives follows a similarly strong showing last year, where we raised £3,065 for Hayward House Hospice. Football continues to unite us, providing fun and helping to raise vital funds for local charitable projects. We look forward to the National Finals!

Business Fives

Football remains a key activity at L-A-C, with our team participating in the Armstrong Neild Cup, an event that raised more than £10,000 for local charities: Teardrops - who support the homeless and vulnerable in St Helens, and also Alder Hey Childrens hospital in Liverpool who support over 300,000 families every year.

We had a fantastic time, proud of both our performance and our continued support of the local community.

Armstrong Nield Cup

L-A-C had an exhilarating day on the River Trent in Nottingham, competing in our first Dragon Boat Race in support of Nottingham Hospitals Charity. Our 15-strong crew achieved a commendable 3rd place overall, with the fastest time of the day at an impressive 1.08.57. This event was not only hard work but incredibly rewarding, raising £2,616, with more donations still coming in. Congratulations to the entire crew for their determination, rowing skills, and fundraising success!
